This concert was filed from 2 seperate sources, Floor B Row 8 seats 12 & 14. This concert was the first attempt to video a show and author it to DVD. There are small issues such as a few spots of focus, in a small section the audio is off by less than 1 second, and I had issues with making both sources 16:9 ratio. I did the best I could with my first time out of the gate so deal with it.

Special thanks to Ed, Al, Wolfie, & Dave for touring once againand the new album! Thanks Jen for letting me spend a mortgage payment for ILAA tickets! And thanks to all the junkies at VHtrading.com

1st Encore :
02. Crowd > Good Morning Little Schoolgirl
03. Jailhouse Rock (w/extra verse)

2nd Encore :
04. Crowd > Long Distance Call > Thunderbird > Mellow Down Easy > Long Distance Call

What you have here is an historic/vintage ZZTop's early recording. Sound quality is decent, i have heard a lot of worst, but consider that and listen to the sound samples. This show is circulated incomplete and with the wrong tracks' order, so for the first time you can have it like it was...you judge by yourself if download it or not.....

I used a Zoom H2Next with low-cut filter, limiter (concert), auto-gain (concert) which seemed to work out well. There is no swooshing sound like previous auto-gain circuits might have created. There was about a twenty minute intermission following "Perpetual Change" and the performance of "Going for the One." Enjoy!

This is one great YES concert the Beacon, NYC, April 9th, 2013. One of the best I've ever heard from them. This was recorded from the 5th row, 1st balcony, center section. It's just above the loge seating below. There are huge speakers hanging from the ceiling at the Beacon so the sound levels and mix are good from this position. Downe's keyboards are a little low in volume at points but Steve's guitar just seemed to flow from the stage!

Notes by the uploader/trader:
To welcome in the year when we should get the definitive collection of "Exile" from Don Was and Sir Michael Philip Jagger (here's hoping!), here is a compilation of the best quality recordings for all the early versions, unreleased material, etc. that is currently available from the sessions that produced "Exile On Main St".
I listened to at least twenty different bootlegs to obtain what seemed to me to be the best sounding versions. In some cases the the choices were marginal; in others they were obvious because the tracks were truncated, badly noise reduced, or they sounded downright dreadful. I also included a few tracks that didn't make it through to the final Exile (or any other) album because they were recorded at the same sessions and appeared to fit naturally.
A few tracks have been mildly equalized (<2.5bB per frequency range) and/or pitch/speed corrected using the "Exile On Main St" Virgin CD as a guide. No compression or noise reduction used. Amadeus Pro (Mac OS X) was used for all editing.
There are obviously other ways to put this together. Others might choose different versions to mine, or argue whether some of the tracks really belong here at all, but hey, that's life.
I'm very interested to hear if anybody has tracks that are listed as coming from the various sessions but are not on these boots (eg. "Sophia Loren" from the Dec 1971/early 1972 LA session). Maybe these and others we don't know about will show up on the official release later this year.

You're looking at the ultimate Manassas concert registration. Tell me if you can find a better Manassas recording It was the first ever concert of this band. They sound pretty tied for a first one. Great band The concert was recorded for radio and TV. Over the years different parts of the show have been broadcasted by radio, the last one in 2001 as we know of.
There is a field report of a TV broadcast, a tape never surfaced.

This project was completed in 2002, and a 3cd set was distributed in a small circle of friends. Tt has come to my knowledge that several different bootlegs were made up of this original set, even original artwork was used in some of these. Another good reason to give this set a more public performance

This was a collaboration between Reel Records, Forever Young Recordings, RV Productions and Otto Productions. A lot of research was done and a lot of effort was put in finding the best versions of the analoge tapes. Thanks Paul Zaich and Arend de Munk for your contributions. As we wanted to keep the original setlist in order, there are audible quality differences between songs as they come from several sources. ReelClasio did a hell of a job making it a flowing set of songs. Thanks mate. Due to broadcasting proccedings some of the songs are cut as indicated. The third CD has the complete audience versions of the cut FM versions, for collectors only, as it is of poor quality.

Beside the superb sound quality of CD 1 and CD 2, the setlist has some nice gems like Move Around (ever played again?) Sugar Babe (rare outing), a long rap in "For What It's Worth" as a piano version and "Know You Got To Run" as the early version of "Ballad Of A Blind Fiddler" played during the recent Stills tour.

Notes: There was a ton of hype for this show, mainly due to the featured songwriter, who many hoped/prayed would make an appearance. Well he didn't, and the show went on. I was in a good spot, facing the stacks, but this is a bar on a Saturday night full of drunk people. During all the ballads you will hear the delightful voices of said people. During the first 5-6 songs, there is the added noise of people squeezing through the back of the room where I was standing. Lots of "no room to move", "I got three ladies with me", "just going to the bathroom", yada yada yada. Overall a nice recording from a very cool and fun night. I have some video too, but from where I was standing it was limited.
